Last.Fm Releases Chrome Extension

1 July 2010 No Comment

While I generally like to listen to music either on Pandora or Grooveshark, I sometimes find myself heading over to Last.FM purely to see what new music my friends are listening to. Even though I may not spend much time on the site, I was glad to see Last.FM had released an extension for Chrome.

The Last.FM extension is pretty straightforward to use. It lives on your toolbar and shows a time duration for the currently playing song. If you click on the button, you’ll expand the music player which gives you access to song information, music playback controls, your playlist, song ratings and more. There’s still quite a bit of functionality that needs to be added in order to be a true counterpart to the website, but it’s a nice start, and is a great way to find new tunes while browsing the web.
